GONZALES - Parts of Ascension Parish are still dealing with flooding after recent severe weather.
Parish emergency managers said the following roads are still closed because of high water. Recreational waterways are also still closed in the parish until the rivers drop back below safe levels.

PORT ALLEN - US Highway 190 at Bueche Rd. remains closed this morning, after a chemical fire at the Air Liquide plant caused officials to shut-down the roadway.

The intersection of Highland Road and Staring Lane is closed for two weeks as part of the Green Light Plan.
