Christmas Day heat
BATON ROUGE - An 89-year-old record was broken with a record high of 83 degrees Thursday, Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day will look to set a record, but it won't hit the highest temperate on December 25th of 85 degrees. Friday will be about 81 or 82 degrees.
"It's an odd day. We don't talk about a warm Christmas much in south Louisiana," WBRZ meteorologist Keller Watts said.
Rain lingered from Thursday night into Friday morning. Showers will continue into Saturday. There could be a severe weather threat Sunday.
