Woman sought for cashing stolen $1,400 check

BATON ROUGE – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman who cashed a check that was stolen from a vehicle burglary.

The sheriff's office responded to the Regions Bank in the 8700 block of Siegen Lane on Dec. 12 in reference to a woman who cashed a stolen $1,400 check. The woman also attempted to cash another check.

According to the sheriff's office, the woman used checks that were stolen from a vehicle burglary that was committed in another parish. She also used a driver's license that was stolen from another vehicle burglary reported in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The suspect is described as a white woman with blond hair and wearing a plaid shirt. She was last seen driving a white Buick Enclave.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at 225-389-5000.
