Woman dies after shooting near Gardere
BATON ROUGE – Deputies are investigating a deadly shooting at 8338 Amy Drive near Gardere Friday morning where a woman was shot in the head.
EBRSO spokesperson Casey Hicks said 27-year-old Louisa Garcia was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
Hicks said Juan Angel Delarca Martinez was charged with second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
EBRSO said Garcia and her husband were inside theirbedroom when they became involved in an argument. Hicks said a short time later, neightbors heard a gunshot. Martinez was found standing over the victim.
