BATON ROUGE - WBRZ Channel 2, WBRZ.com and the WBRZ Facebook page will carry an ABC News special report shortly after 11 a.m. Monday.

In an alert from ABC News in New York, the network reported the special report will be a briefing from FBI Director James Comey.  It's expected to be about the mass shooting in Orlando.

Earlier Monday, the president discussed the situation.  The president said there is no clear evidence the shooter was directed to conduct his attack or that it was part of a larger plot.  President Barack Obama said it appears the shooter was inspired by extremist information disseminated over the internet.

In Florida, hospital officials announced five people are still in "grave condition" after they were wounded in the attack at the gay nightclub Sunday morning.  Orlando Regional Medical Center said 29 people are still at the hospital and a number of patients remain critically ill and in shock.

Six more surgeries on the victims are scheduled for Monday, a day after a gunman opened fire inside a gay nightclub. The attack left 50 people dead, including the shooter.

There are memorial services planned in Baton Rouge Monday: One at the state capitol by lawmakers and another on the Mississippi River levee around 6 p.m.
