BATON ROUGE - Two McKinley High School employees were issued summonses from police Friday amid an investigation into complaints they were heavy-handed with at least one student.

Baton Rouge Police said officers are investigating allegations of physical assault on a student.  The two school employees are at the center of the investigation, WBRZ has learned.

On Friday, BRPD said it had issued misdemeanor summonses for Tasmin Williams, 31, and Frankie Jorman Nolan Jackson, 38, both on counts of simple battery.

A family member of a student involved told WBRZ the incident occurred last week between a high school student and administrators. The family member described the encounter as the student being "physically assaulted."

The school placed both employees on leave earlier this week pending an internal investigation.
