BAKER - Two people are in the hospital Wednesday morning after a car plowed into a home in Baker.

Baker Police responded to the call at the 3600 block of Lavey Ln. shortly after 4 a.m. Police say the vehicle was possibly traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit a telephone pole, skidded across three front yards before crashing into a bedroom.

Police say the residents inside the home were not physically injured, but were shaken up. Residents tell WBRZ News 2 that the car missed the bedroom where their child was sleeping by just five feet.

The passenger, Denzel Hamilton, was transported to the hospital by EMS, and Baker Police took the driver, Brandon T. Holloway, to the hospital.

Police say Holloway will be charged with first-offense DWI and negligent injuring upon his release from the hospital.
