Three injured in overnight shooting

BATON ROUGE - Police said three people went to the hospital after a shooting overnight in Baton Rouge.

Police responded to the scene outside the Leo S. Butler Center, near Buchanan St. and Thomas Delpit Dr., where they found two vehicles.

Investigators believe the shooting happened in the 2300 block of Georgia St. just before 9:30 p.m.

Three male victims were taken to local hospitals with gun shot wounds.

No word on the extent of the injuries.

Deputies plan to release more details about the incident today.
