RICHMOND, Va.- A woman hit a bobcat in Gloucester on her way to work Thanksgiving morning.

The woman told Animal Control that she didn't realize what had happened until she parked her car and saw the bobcat stuck in the grill.

Richmond Animal Care and Control was able to sedate the bobcat and successfully free him.

The cat was uninjured with the exception of a scratch on his back, and is being treated at the Wildlife Center of Virginia to be sure there isn't any internal damage.

He will be released back to the wild in Gloucester County later in December.
