ST. AMANT – The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Team responded to a standoff with a man at home off Highway 936 in St. Amant Tuesday.

The standoff started at a home on Meloncon Road near St. Amant around 5:30 p.m. U.S. Marshals were also involved in the standoff. Details were limited at the time of this post. 

Authorities blocked traffic around the scene.
