Smoothie shop owner accused of dealing cocaine
BATON ROUGE - Deputies said a smoothie shop owner has been charged with dealing cocaine and marijuana out of his store in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Sheriff's deputies accused Tommy Le of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana on Jan. 12.
Detectives said they arrested Le at his store, Paradise Smoothies, on North Sherwood and found around a half-ounce of cocaine, one ounce of marijuana and a digital scale in his vehicle. Investigators said Le was also carrying $1,059 on his person at the time.
Detectives said they secured search warrants for the store and Le's home on Wingate Drive. Inside the home investigators said they found a pound of marijuana, while at the store agents said they found another ounce of cocaine, a pound and a half of marijuana, and $1,080 in cash.
