BATON ROUGE - One person is dead after a Monday night fire in Baton Rouge.

The fire was reported in the 7200 block of Sevenoaks Avenue around 10:17 p.m. Firefighters found smoke coming from the rear of the house. Crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to the rest of the structure.
