BATON ROUGE – Police say a Prairieville man died in a two-vehicle crash on Florida Blvd. Thursday afternoon.

According to Baton Rouge Police Sgt. L’Jean Mckneely, the crash happened in the 7500 block of Florida Blvd. around 4:53 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators say 32-year-old Jacob Labauve failed to stop at a red light then crashed his Ford F-150 into a Toyota Sienna. Labauve’s pickup truck then ran off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Mckneely said Labauve was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.

Baton Rouge Police say alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
