Troopers identify passengers in fatal wreck near Sorrento

SORRENTO – Police have identified all four passengers in a vehicle that flipped on I-10 near Sorrento Saturday and became partially submerged in water.

With the assistance of the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab, the family members of the deceased identified two of the occupants in the vehicle.

According to Troopers, the Jashon Butler, 18, from New Orleans was the driver of the vehicle. The second passenger was identified as 18-year-old Donald Allen of Bridge City.

Early Monday morning, troopers identified the final passenger of the vehicle as 22-year-old Michael Dunns of New Orleans.

Police said the lone survivor of the crash was identified as 18-year-old Carleisha Mosely from New Orleans. Police said Mosely was treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales for moderate to severe injuries Saturday night.
