PALMETTO - A Pointe Coupee man is charged tonight with his wife's murder.

Kimberley Clark was found shot in a canal in Palmetto last month.

Her husband, Sam Clark was arrested a week later. KATC reports Sam Clark was arrested last year in Livonia, on domestic abuse charges.

He was accused of choking his wife, in front of children and and pointing a gun at her.

Investigators say Kimberley Clark posted on facebook just an hour before her death saying "If I die, say Sam Jr."

Sam Clark has also been arrested in the past for battery, animal cruelty and damage to property.
