Numerous colleges and universities across the southeast and the plains use tornadoes, twisters and hurricanes. In Ames, Iowa, Iowa State has the Cyclones and so does Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Fans in Sulphur, Louisiana, cheer for the Sulphur High Golden Tornadoes.
