Man killed in head-on crash Tuesday; woman, two children hospitalized

UPDATE: Police have identified the man killed in Tuesday morning's crash as 35-year-old Brandon Hatch of Baton Rouge. 

Investigators believe Hatch was likely impaired at the time of the crash and at fault for the incident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other victims, Rebecca Toms and her two sons, remain hospitalized with moderate injuries. Police say Toms' children are ages 8 and 9.

The crash remains under investigation.

WALKER- Authorities are on the scene of a fatal crash.

The crash happened early this morning. The two-vehicle head-on crash occurred on Burgess Avenue just east of Peak Lane.

Authorities say the car at fault was driving eastbound when it collided with another car going westbound. Three passengers were taken to the hospital in serious condition. 

The one person confirmed dead was the driver of the car at fault for the crash.

Authorities say the car at fault did catch fire, but ”driver was likely deceased at that particular time."
