BATON ROUGE- One person was transported to an area hospital with injuries from gunshots late Tuesday night.

Police responded to the victim at the corner of Gus Young Ave. and North Acadian. He was inside a car, according to reports. The shooting likely happened on a different street a few blocks away.

Police have not released details about the shooting.  But, sources described the injuries as serious.
