Man charged with murder in deadly Killian stabbing
KILLIAN – Investigators in Livingston Parish say one man is dead after a stabbing in Killian Monday night.
The incident happened in the 28,000 block of Hwy 44 late Monday night. Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said Lawrence Head Jr. was at the home collecting his belonging when he and Daniel Brooks,25, got into a “domestic dispute.”
Ard said Head was stabbed multiple times. The Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene.
A friend who was with Head at the time was also transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the fight. He is expected to live.
Brooks is being processed into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. He is charged with second degree murder and attempted second degree murder.
