LSU and LCTCS to sign transfer agreement

BATON ROUGE- A signing ceremony will be held to announce an LSU and Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) transfer agreement and Honors Promise Scholarship between the two colleges.

LCTCS and LSU are aiming to provide more opportunities to Louisiana residents and transfer students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree after completing an associate’s degree at an LCTCS college.

The two entities seek to remove economic obstacles that prevent students who are active Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society members from transferring to LSU upon completion of an associates degree.

The agreement will also aim to help LCTCS in increasing transfer students and will assist LSU is recruiting students.

The signing ceremony will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Governor’s Press Room in the State Capitol.
