HOLDEN - Louisiana State Police said authorities found and arrested the man accused of leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle along I-12 West Thursday.

Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputies booked 17-year-old Myron Pots into the parish jail.

Troopers said they spotted a car Thursday morning which was reported stolen out of Houston on the interstate in Livingston Parish. LSP said the driver led police on a pursuit which ended between the towns of Livingston and Holden.

An LSP spokesperson said four people in the the car took off running into the nearby woods. Troopers caught three women but said the driver, Potts, eluded searchers.

Several law enforcement agencies were seen along the highway with guns out, checking through a nearby swampy area with binoculars according to witnesses. Troopers said helicopters and K9 units were also brought in to assist with the search.

LSP said Pots was later located and booked into the parish jail. Troopers did not immediately say how he was located.
