LIVINGSTON - The Livingston Parish Council signed off on a list of roads for Phase II of its Priority Roads List.

The first phase of the multi-million dollar project is expected to wrap-up sometime this year. Once that happens, work will begin on 13 roads approved by the council. Those 13 were chosen by using a rating scale on all of the roads on the master list to determine which should be considered a 'priority'. Phase II calls for spending nearly $3 million on the following roads:

Livingston: Jack Allen Rd., Iowa St., White Oak Rd.

Walker: Courtney Rd. (Phase 2), Buck Perkins Ln.

Maurepas: Chene Blanc Ln.

Denham Springs: Maryland St., Joe May Rd. (South Section), Falcon Crest Dr. (Phase 2), Laurel Ave., Colonial Dr.

Springfield: Fayard Rd., Swamp Dr.

Thursday night, the council postponed a vote on term limits until the next council meeting. The authors of the ordinance said they wanted to work on it some more before bringing it up. If the council approves term limits, voters would get the final say, likely in the election this November.
