HOUMA - Sheriff's deputies in Terrebonne Parish said they arrested a Houma woman on sexual battery charges Wednesday morning.

27-year-old Misti Carrere was taken into custody by after law enforcement received an anonymous tip that indicated her whereabouts inside of an apartment on Friendswood Drive.

The investigation into Carrere began back in July when detectives received a complaint that said the woman was involved in the sexual battery of a juvenile. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office obtained an arrest warrant for her and were finally able to make the arrest once Wednesday's tip led them to her location.

Deputies said the information released is limited and no other information will be released at this time due to the nature of this investigaiton.
