NEW ORLEANS - LSU’s current recruiting class got another shot in the arm Thursday as four-star offensive tackle Willie Allen from John Curtis has committed to the Tigers.

Allen made the announcement at his high school Thursday morning, selecting LSU over a handful of interested schools including Auburn, Ole Miss and TCU. He made an official visit to the Baton Rouge campus last weekend.

ESPN, 247Sports.com and Rivals.com have the 6’7”, 300 pounder rated as the No. 1 offensive lineman in the state.

The addition brings the total number of Tiger commitments to 21 for the class of 2016. LSU’s recruiting class is ranked No. 2 in the nation in a 247Sports.com poll behind Ohio State.
