Firefighters investigating early morning building fire
BATON ROUGE – Investigators are trying to determine what caused a building fire on Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive Tuesday morning.
According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, firefighters arrived at 1495 Eddie Robinson shortly before 6 a.m and found the rear of the building engulfed in flames.
Firefighters said after entering the building, the second floor began to collapse. The fire was contained quickly, but the fire department said it took a significant time to completely extinguish because of the collapse.

Firefighters said no one was injured but estimate that the fire caused $85,000 in damages. BRFD said the building is considered a total loss.
