EBRSO looking for suspect in Subway robbery

BATON ROUGE - The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a suspect responsible for robbing a Subway in the 5800 block of Sherwood Forest Blvd. on Mar. 25.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when a white male suspect entered the Subway demanding the employees to open the register while waving a knife.

According to the sheriff’s office, the employees ran to the back of the business where the suspect jumped over the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect then jumped the counter again and fled on foot. The suspect was last seen on foot going northbound on S. Sherwood Forest.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect is described as a white male, 5‘7 - 5‘9 in height with a medium body build.

He was wearing a dark color pullover hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a blue baseball cap with a design on the rim, according to the sheriff’s office.

Anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at 225-389-5064.
