EBRSO: Driver attempts to flee scene of crash, doesn't get far
BATON ROUGE - A spokesperson for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says a driver attempted to flee a minor accident in a parking lot on Siegen Lane Friday night.
He didn't get very far, however. There was something wrong with his vehicle, so when he tried to leave, he just burned out his rear tire until nothing was left but the rim.
Units from the St. George Fire Department were on scene when a News 2 Photographer arrived, and deputies had part of the parking lot taped off.
No word on if the driver was charged. There were no injuries.
