Donated goods distribution begins at Cortana at noon

BATON ROUGE - Truckloads of good and supplies donated to The Salvation Army will be handed out to residents in need at Cortana Mall starting at noon on Thursday.

Residents are advised to report to 9401 Cortana Pllace in Baton Rouge at entrance five of the mall. The distribution point will be located outside of the Gap store. The Salvation Army distribution will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, the distribution center will again hand out good from 9 a.m. to noon and then from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents will receive food boxes, water, clean up kits, toiletries, diapers and pet supplies.

Only one person from a household may pick up supplies, and you may not pick up for more than one household. You must bring and provide proof that you live in the affected area. This proof can take the form of a driver’s license or utilities bill.

The Salvation Army continues to accept donated goods at this location as well.
