Missing woman found in Mississippi in good health
BATON ROUGE - A 73-year-old woman who had been reported missing Tuesday evening was found in Mississippi by detectives on Thursday morning.
The missing woman, Diane Mackay, was located in the city of Pearl after deputies asked for the public's help in finding her around noon on Wednesday. She had last been seen in Baton Rouge as she left her home on Sept. 20.
Deputies reported that Mackay had been diagnosed with having the early stages of dementia and checked into Mackay's bank account transaction history while attempting to locate her. They noted transactions in Alabama and Covington earlier in the week, and also said she was spotted travelling westbound on I-12 near Hammond on Tuesday.
Detectives said Mackay was found in good health when she was located in Mississippi.
