CHACKBAY -  A man from Thibodaux was arrested Wednesday and charged with stealing a school bus and driving it while intoxicated.

Jordan Molaison, 21, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, simple criminal damage to property and 2nd offense DWI.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says a bus driver in Chackbay realized her bus was missing around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. On the way to her home, deputies spotted the bus and pulled it over. Deputies say Molaison hot-wired the bus and also damaged a camera inside.

According to the sheriff's office, Molaison refused to take a field sobriety test, but eventually took a Breathalyzer test that revealed he was intoxicated beyond the legal limit.

Molaison is also charged with driving with a suspended license and driving a bus without the proper endorsements.
