Deputies: man dies after shooting, triggerman wanted

ALBANY- Sheriff's deputies in Livingston Parish said a man died after a shooting where two people were hit near the parish line with Tangipahoa Friday afternoon.

Deputies are looking for the accused gunman, Earl Johnson, Jr., 24 (pictured). Johnson was last seen fleeing into Tangipahoa Parish after the shooting on Ed Brown Road.

Darryl Patrick, 46, died after being hit with bullets multiple times, Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lori Steele said in a news release late Friday. The second victim, who was not named, was also shot multiple times. Steele said that person is in stable condition at an area hospital.

Deputies are not sure of a motive.

Johnson is wanted for murder and attempted murder.
