DENHAM SPRINGS - Sheriff’s deputies in Livingston Parish said they arrested a man who was wanted following a shooting that happened during an attempted armed robbery earlier this week.

23-year-old Cullen Pitre was taken into custody Friday. Two men, Justin Slinker and Derek Tauzin, were already taken into custody in connection with the shooting that happened on Lockhart Road in Denham Springs on Nov. 3.

Deputies said they responded to a residence in the 9300 block of Lockhart Road to find a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Investigators reported the injury was non-life threatening.

Pitre was booked on charges of attempted second degree murder and principal to attempted robbery with use of a firearm.

Deputies said the arrest was made through the combined efforts of LPSO, Denham Springs Police and Livingston Parish residents.
