CAUW hosting Jambalaya Jam on Thursday

BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge residents are invited to come out and eat delicious jambalaya for for a great cause. The Capital Area United Way is hosting its 28th Annual Jambalaya Jam on Thursday.

Guests are invited to North Boulevard Town Square in dowtown Baton Rouge to try some of the best jambalaya the state has to offer from 48 competing teams. The jam-packed night will also feature live performances, including one from up-and-coming country music star, Craig Campbell. Local chef and Food Network star, Jay Ducote, will serve as this year's honorary "Jam King."  

All proceeds from the event go toward bettering the education, income stability and health living of the 10-parish area covered by the Capital Area United Way.

The Jambalaya Jam is happening Thursday, October 8th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A plate to go will cost $7 or you can enjoy all of the jambalaya you can eat for $10.
