BRPD searching for suspect in Plank Rd. convenience store robbery
BATON ROUGE - Police are trying to identify an individual accused of robbing a Plank Road convenience store late last month.
Baton Rouge Police said the suspect entered Dave's Food Mart on Oct. 22 at around 12:30 a.m., pretended to be a customer and then approached the counter with items to purchase.
Detectives said when the employee opened the register to complete the sale, the suspect reached across the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
The suspect was last seen running southbound down Plank Road. No one was injured during the robbery.
Police described the suspect as a black male, 5’4”-5’5”, 120-125lbs, around 25-30 years of age wearing a light green t-shirt with blue jeans.
