Board approves putting old school building up for sale
CLINTON - The East Feliciana Parish School Board voted to move forward with a plan to sell a 77-year-old school building.
Tuesday, the board approved having the building appraised. After an appraisal, the school building will be put on the market.
Board members said the building, called the Old 1938 Clinton High School Facility and Campus, is too expensive to maintain. The campus is on Plank Road near downtown.
Four years ago, some film makers planned to transform the building into a haunted house but had trouble meeting codes.
There was no time table on how long it will take to have the school appraised and put up for sale.
