ASCENSION – AT&T officials are checking into a cell service issue after multiple complaints from customers in Ascension Parish.

According to officials, crews are investigating a "fiber issue" between New Orleans and Baton Rouge that may be affecting cell service in the area.

An AT&T representative told WBRZ that the company will give an update once details are available and apologizes for the inconvenience.
