Aramark to lay off more than 200 employees at Lafayette Medical Center

BATON ROUGE – Aramark Healthcare Services, LLC, stationed at the Lafayette Medical Center, has announced that more than 200 employees will be laid off later this year.

Lafayette Medical Center did not renew its contract with the company and will result in Aramark ceasing operations at the hospital on Dec. 12.

All of the Aramark employees assigned to the facility, 243 employees, will be laid off. According to the company, employees will have the opportunity to apply for positions with Lafayette Medical Center’s new facility services provider.
