Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area: Walk/Run to Remember
BATON ROUGE- Everyone is encouraged to come out and remember those who have passed away from Alzheimer's and the people who are still struggling with the disease on a daily basis.
Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is hosting a Walk/Run to Remember to raise money for the education and support services the organization provides. All funds raised will stay in the 10-parish area in and around Baton Rouge.
The event will include tons of family-friendly activities, live music and great food. Games and crafts will be set up at the Children's Village for kids to participate in.
Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area provides support to about 20,000 families affected by memory-related illnesses. The organization aims to teach, care for and connect with people in the community who are affected by the disease.
The Walk/Run to Remember is being held on Saturday, October 10th at LSU's "old front nine" (corner of Nicholson Drive and Nicholson Drive Extension).
