BATON ROUGE – Attorney General “Buddy” Caldwell’s office announced Thursday that a fugitive with a history of evading sex offender registration in Texas and Louisiana was captured in Shreveport.

Agents with the Attorney General’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit captured Kentrell Debose, 27, Tuesday in Shreveport.

Caldwell’s office said Debose was convicted in 2009 in Louisiana for carnal knowledge of a juvenile and was required to register as a sex offender.

Debose was wanted by law enforcement in both Louisiana and Texas for failure to comply with the states' sex offender registry laws.

Caldwell’s office said Debose was also wanted by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections for a parole violation for illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and possessing a stolen firearm.

Agents booked Debose into the Caddo Parish jail, where he is now awaiting extradition to Texas.
