BATON ROUGE – An accident on I-10 East near the I-10/12 split has caused traffic to snarl across Baton Rouge Thursday afternoon.

Around 4:40 p.m., traffic officials reported that the right lane of I-10 East was blocked due to an accident. Traffic was passing through the four left lanes, but congestion stretched past the Mississippi River Bridge past Port Allen.
