TAMPA, Fla. - A 9-year-old has been threatened with sexual harassment charges should he refuse to stop passing love notes to a girl in his fourth-grade class.

Locals reports indicate the unidentified boy was passing messages to the girl, saying she is “pretty and cute” and comparing the sparkle of her eyes to diamonds.

School officials said other students discovered the notes and began teasing the student, resulting in the school principal addressing the issue.

Reports said the boy’s mother claims he was warned by school administration that his actions could constitute sexual harassment if he fails to stop. Hillisbrough County School District officials have told the press the notes were defined as “unwanted.”
