3 injured in shooting Tuesday night; police searching for suspect

BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge Police detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night around 10 p.m. in the 2800 block of Erie Street that injured three people. 

The victims, one 35-year-old man, one 54-year-old woman and one 61-year-old man were hit while standing outside at the location. Family members told News 2 three children were at the home when the shooting happened. The children's mother, stepdad and grandfather were injured in the shooting.

Police say that i
t is believed that the shots were fired from a passing vehicle. Witnesses say they saw a silver car leaving the scene. The victims were later transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

According to BRPD, there are no known suspects or motives at this time.
