BATON ROUGE - Wednesday morning is seeing added gridlock after early morning storms moved through the Capital Area, causing traffic lights at some heavily used intersections to be out of service.

More than 2,000 customers are currently in the dark in East Baton Rouge Parish, according to Entergy’s outage map.

Crews with Entergy and the Department of Public Works were spotted at a handful of locations throughout the city as they work to restore power to important pieces of infrastructure. Traffic lights were reported to be out at Essen Lane and Jefferson Highway.

There hasn’t been any words yet from officials as to where the specific power problems are, and no timeline has been provided for when all lights will be back in service.
