Sports2-a-Days Preview: Albany Hornets

The Albany Hornets will lean on their run game and six returners coming back from the 2013 team this coming season.

Second year head coach Blane Westmoreland is hoping his team can improve upon their 3-7 mark last year and overcome some of those last minute defeats from 2013.

Five starters are back on the defensive side of the ball.

Sports2-a-Days Preview: Brusly Panthers

The Brusly Panthers are looking to reload and make another run at the postseason in 2014.

A playoff road win last year brought them to 6-6 on the season, but this year head coach Erik Willis will be breaking in a new offensive backfield.

The Panthers are working through a three headed quarterback battle to replace last years starter Blake Minola.

The East Ascension Spartans are rebuilding after a successful 2013 season that saw them make it to the second round of the playoffs.

After signing seven players to scholarships last season, fourth year head coach Paul Bourgeois is bringing back just seven starters from that team.

The Ascension Christian Lions are looking to continue their recent trend of improvements.

After finishing 2013 with a 2-9 mark and a playoff appearance, head coach Josh Puryear is hoping his few but talented players can be enough to double their win total.
