BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a woman after she admitted to stabbing her husband three times while he sat on the toilet Sunday morning. 

According to police documents, Tammy McCallop stabbed her husband three times in the upper body after a marital dispute. 

The couple began arguing when McCallop's husband returned home around 7 a.m. after staying out all night. The argument started as a verbal disagreement but quickly escalated when her husband went to use the bathroom. McCallop followed him and pulled out a pocket knife, screaming "I'm tired of your sh-t!"

When police were called to the scene, McCallop agreed to the charges and admitted to shoving her husband once in the chest. She said she stabbed her husband because she feared he would physically harm her after he grabbed her face and yelled. 

McCallop was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where she faces charges of domestic abuse battery and aggravated battery with a knife.
