Well known Westside lawman has died
PORT ALLEN – Well-known lawman Richie Johnson has died.
Johnson, who has worked with several law enforcement agencies on the west side of the river, had been fighting cancer for the last few years. Despite his diagnosis, Johnson was often seen at work and making appearances on behalf of the agencies he represented.
Johnson was most known as West Baton Rouge Sheriff Mike Cazes' right-hand man.
Johnson also worked for District Attorney Ricky Ward.
