Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall visits Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - A smaller replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall makes a tour stop at the Belle of Baton Rouge on Friday.
Nearly 60,000 names of American solders who either went missing or lost their lives during combat are displayed in the traveling replica at the Belle of Baton Rouge. The traveling wall is an exact replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
"It's just a chance to honor, remember and respect our veterans," American Traveling Tribute's Director of Operations John Barron said. "Our active duty, and espeically those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect us, and defend our way of life."
The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall will be located at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino Parking Lot B. The exhibit is open to the public free of charge from Thursday to Saturday this week.
