BATON ROUGE - Authorities have arrested four teenagers after a man was robbed, shot and left for dead on a sidewalk last week.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, 17-year-old Kyriel Spencer, 18-year-old Darius Clark, 17-year-old Jerrin Spencer and 17-year-old Eric Johnson are charged in the attack, which occurred Wednesday night. Deputies responded to the 4300 block of Rhoda Drive around 1:30 p.m. to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound on the ground. Deputies say the man's pockets were turned inside out, leading them to believe he was shot in a robbery.

Kyriel was later taken into custody at his home, while Clark is still being held at the Livingston Parish Jail, where he was incarcerated on unrelated charges. The sheriff's office says both admitted to their involvement in the shooting.

Both are charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Armed Robbery and Illegal Use of a Weapon.

During their interviews with deputies, Kryiel and Clark identified Jerrin as being present during the attack. Jerrin was also identified as being a relative of Kryiel.

Kryriel and Clark told authorities the group actively participated and knowingly drove around the Southpark neighborhood stalking any individuals in attempt to rob them.

The sheriff's office says the victim has been taken to a hospital and put on life support. He is not expected to survive.

Charges may be upgraded depending on the status of the victim.
