SUNSET - Authorities released the names of the victims attacked by a suspect in a deadly, violent rampage in this usually quiet Cajun town Wednesday.

Officer Henry Nelson and Shameka Johnson died.  Courtney Jolivette and Surlay Johnson were taken to area hospitals following the altercation with the suspect, identified late Wednesday as Harrison Lee Riley, Jr.  Riley, 35, is married to Jolivette.

Nelson was an officer on the Sunset Police department.  Shameka and Surlay Johnson are sisters, authorities said.

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said Nelson was shot with his own gun after fighting with the Riley.

Earlier, investigators said Riley stabbed the women at a home on St. Anna Street and then shot the police officer who responded to the call for help.  After the shooting and stabbing, authorities said Riley drove to a gas station where he crashed a vehicle through the building.  There was a standoff before Riley was apprehended.

"He was on drugs," Shaterral Johnson, a cousin of the suspect and sister to the two Johnson women, said.  Shaterral Johnson is also the mayor a nearby town and said she was in a town council meeting when she received word something had happened at her mother's house.

"[My mother] was stabbed too, but she locked herself in a bathroom," she said.  Johnson said her mother was stabbed in her neck.  Authorities did not release information about Johnson's mother.

Hours later, the gas station caught on fire.  Investigators with the State Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the blaze.
