BRPD: Homeless man shot and killed while working in gas station parking lot
BATON ROUGE – Police say a homeless man was shot to death as he was cleaning up a gas station parking lot early Friday morning.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, 51-year-old Leonard Williams was shot multiple times around 1 a.m. Friday at Cousin's Food Mart on Airline Highway near the old EKL Hospital. Williams was then taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said Williams was homeless and had been cleaning up the parking lot at the time of the shooting.
